Re: Random extracts appended to end of posts after create?

I’ve had this problem too, quite consistently, and over a longer period of time. It seems to happen randomly, but I do see it in previews, and also (particularly) when submitting to my scratchpad (mostly the private one).

I’ve developed the habit of checking the tail of whatever I’m posting, and removing any extra text, before pressing preview or submit.

Don’t know if it’s relevant or not, but I’m using Opera under Vista 32-bit. I either type directly into the submission window, or copy-and-paste from a text editor. choroba: I don’t use a Node Template. What difference would that make?

I suppose I just assumed this was a quirk of the PerlMonks website — but if a fix is possible, it would certainly be welcome.

Sounds like a browser bug. If that is the case, the errent text would have to appear as a part of the POST. Any chance of getting a look at the log data for the creation of Re^4: Finding intersection of many sequences where it happened again? I've screen grabbed before & after shots which show that there is nothing extra in the edit-box until after the create. Sounds like a browser bug. Nope. When the browser posts, the content is clean. When it comes back it has been appended to. Probably something to do with the PM "bad html" highlighting stuff. (After first preview this post had '/div' appended to it, which I've deleted.) (Add a little more to the post and preview again and suddenly 'Social' is appended - deleted.) Definitely that end...
