( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

An entry from the newest New York Times Best Seller List entry, Diary of an XP Whore:

So there we were, my 'bots and myself, trekking through the velte in search of the rare African Expeebeast. We had seen some spoor of a pack a few days earlier, small threads of replies littering the landscape. But we had yet to find an actual creature. Our bandwidth was running low, and we were starting to get concerned that we would have to turn back before we had found our prey. The 'bots were muttering among themselves in l337sp34k about how it was "b4d j00j00" to be out this long without an actual sighting.
Suddenly, without warning, an Expeebeast burst out from behind a stand of routers. There she was, sporting a 200 reputation rack, with 'Erudil' striping. I reacted instinctively, grabbing my ++ gun, and pegged her. She reeled, bounced up to 201, and into a firm 5th in Best Nodes, then was off back into the stand of routers. I looked at my hands, and noticed they were shaking.
Luckily, one of the 'bots had copied her core before she disappeared. I ran her copy through B::DeParse, and posted a complete explanation of what I found. Score another one for the Expeebeast hunters...
Rumor has it there is an Expeebeast with a 292 point rack somewhere in the area. The 'bots are acting "normal" again. I have trouble understanding them. I am starting to learn their language, but it's fairly nonsensical. Fortunately for me, I was able to find a group that spoke Perl. Although still low on bandwidth, I think we can at least do a quick scan for this other beauty...

('K, I was bored and this was idea was bugging me. Anyone want to write another chapter?)

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
