For the last few months, this site has been unusably slow, when I'm logged in. Often I wait a minute or more for a page to display, though at other times, pages may come up at normal speed.
I'm on an virtually unutilized T1 with consistent 50-60ms pings to perlmonks.com, so network connectivity is certainly not the issue. I'm almost positive the problem is related to my account, since I experience the problem both at work and at home, and only when logged in.
Is anyone else experiencing such serious intermittent slowdowns? Could an editor possibly log into my account and see if (s)he can recreate the problem?

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
