tretin is a shortening of the medication Tretinoin (I hope I spelled that right). I saw the med on a pen at the hospital a few months back (I'm invovled in a clinical rotation program geared towards those interested in medicine, only I decided halfway through the year to switch career paths and go comp. science, but that's another node altogether...) and I thought it sounded cool so I started using it as my nick on several different platforms (email addresses to video games). Before that I was using the name Haldol (which is an anti-physcosis drug I think) and before that I was using the nick azch which is a combination of my first and last name.
