I rather like the mystery myself. It took me (as an IT outsider whose first and only computing experience was Perl) a long time to realise what AFAIK, RTFM, LOL, ROFTOLSDF etc stood for, but that was like when you go to a new country and for a while you don't know what the road signs mean and how the money works, but then you work it out and you begin to feel part of things. The working it out and getting one's accent right and so on are all part of the process of aculturation. IMHO. § George Sherston

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
