Thanks for all of your input into the possible changes to the the way the Perl Monks fund is used.

People seem to have been okay with the changes being tossed around. From here on out the fund will be used to help to advance the site in whatever ways make sense at a given time. Currently fund usage will be slanted towards development. This may change, so I consider the fund use to be flexible so it can adapt to changing site needs.

As always I'll take your input into this and any other site issues. I do however reserve the right to make final decisions on what I consider to be best for the site.

You can donate to the fund at http://donate.yetanother.org/index.pl?node=Contribution%20Info

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
