since some top-level nodes are editable, such as those
in the Code Catacombs, it might be nice to be able to
flag updates such nodes as significant in the same way as
can currently be done with home nodes.
in addition to providing a way for alerting users in an
effective and non-cluttering manner to updates in node
content, if extended to reply nodes as well, it could avoid
some of the conflict experienced lately as a consequence of
users alerting their nodes in a "contraversial" manner post
facto.
