>dead/broken/abandoned modules
And how do you propose to do that?
What if the code "Works as Advertised"?
There'd be no reason to "maintain" it.
these things can also serve as inspiration
for others, or a base for continued
development. In fact, it's not unpossible
to become co-developer of such a module and
modernize/complete it. Hijacking it is,
unfortunately, far more difficult than necessary.

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
