I've seen some online-communities grow and break up in personal feuds.

one can actually read a provocative question and refrain from answering it. If you can't, be prepared that your tone will be echoed. (This also goes for asking: most likely the tone will be echoed, so if you can't stomach provocation, don't provoke.)
