At it again, Tovarishch? Well, I may not agree with what merlyn has to say(not with all of it, anyway), but I still give him points for having the guts to say it in the face of much opposition, using his own name.
At no time did I think Merlyn was talking "silly". You were putting those words in my mouth, but I never said or thought them. Merlyn is entitled to his opinion, and that's what he's discussing. He's a better Perl programmer than you, and far more useful to the Perl community. And who knows? Maybe when I learn some Perl, I'll come around to his way of thinking...

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
