Dear Monks, I've written the following not working code: #! /usr/bin/perl
#
$b = "abefcdghijklmn" ;
$a[0]->[0] = "start 0" ;
$a[1]->[0] = "start 1" ;
for($i = 0; $i < 14; $i += 2) {
(push(@{$a[0]}), push(@{$a[1]}) ) = unpack("x$i A1 A1", $b) ;
}
foreach ( @{$a[0]} ) {
print "$_\n" ;
}
Using push like this doesn't work, but I hope I'm close to the true solution... :) Any suggestions ? Thanks
Luca

Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
