My education was in physics with BS from Walla Walla University and MS from Georgia Tech. Since I needed to make a living, most of my career has been in technical software. My most notable achievement was the development and management of the Intel Math Kernel Library (MKL). I started my career at Intel writing parallel and parallelizing software for a processor and system called iWarp. Later I joined the supercomputer division where I focused on parallelization and optimization of code for the Paragon system. Currently I am working as a consultant in the area of scientific code performance analysis and optimization.
