How soon before we abandon the pmdev wiki completely and switch to the scriptorium? I say we stop starting new discussions in the wiki immediately and we retire it forever (write-protect) in about a week. What do you think?

    absolutism--

It is already mostly retired. Noone should be starting new discussions... unless they are of a nature that should not be made public.

But quick notes not meant nor likely to prompt discussion that are also of especially little interest to the public are still appropriate to put in the wiki.

But I'm tempted to disable the ability of group members to send a /msg to their own group. But I won't. Just don't use it. We don't need to implement bondage.

Creating a root node is so unsuited to quick notes.

Please note both uses of "discussion" (mine and yours) included in your node and how they contradict.

A pirvate section for pmdev-only discussion of "sensitive" things would be a better argument. The need should be minimal so I prefer to encourage public discussion by having the "private" method be inconvenient.
