What, I get no mention? Geez. What's a fairy got to do these days to get a gig? Strap on wings, flutter around some kid's window and tell him to wish real hard he could fly?

Bah. That's how I lost my last job. Stupid kids. They're not supposed to jump, it's just a metaphor.

    grumble.

They're not supposed to jump, it's just a metaphor.

This has been bugging me for a day now. I know I've heard that line somewhere before, but I can't think of where.

I disagree that she'd be appropriate for that role. I upvoted you anyway, though, for the link.

Joe Black: Should you choose to test my resolve in this matter, you will be facing a finality beyond your comprehension, and you will not be counting days, or months, or years, but millenniums in a place with no doors.

    Rewritten as:
Joe Black: Should you choose not to read the manual, you will be facing -- votes. Not for days, or months, or years, or millenniums but for as long at the SuperSearch exits and the NodeReaper sleeps......

In fact, that's a good point. Joe black would do better as the NodeReaper!
Now where do I retract my vote?

The absinthe fairy is cute and all, and who doesn't like a visit from her every now and again, but those of us who are closer to 29 appreciate the mature subtlety that Helena Bonham Carter brings. I'm kind of sorry to admit it, but that woman is damn fine whether she's playing a Shakespearean countess, a suicide girl, an ape, or a corpse.

Another CGI voter here. I've always pictured the vote fairy as a Tinkerbell-type. Not very creative of me, now that I think about it.

My favorite fairy is still the Paycheck Fairy though. :) I leave my timesheet on her desk and she turns it into money overnight - woo!

If Josephine Hull can't pull off the role, nobody can. I know of no better actress. The only thing is, we need time-travel capability to fetch her. Will that be a problem?

Sanity? Oh, yeah, I've got all kinds of sanity. In fact, I've developed whole new kinds of sanity. You can just call me "Mister Sanity". Why, I've got so much sanity it's driving me crazy.

While you're casting PerlMonks: The Motion Picture, I think you should consider who is to portray the Hand of Fate, vroom and the other various gods, many of the more important denizens (soon-to-be Master of the World -- possibly she would be adequate -- , planetscape, merlyn, brian_d_foy, chromatic, ovid,…), and The Nameless One. We could easily end up with a larger cast than a Cecil B DeMille epic.

Helena Bonham Carter .... Corpse Bride
    Claymation

Those are redundant choices. The Corpse Bride was claymation. Unless you mean "other claymation", in which case "other actor/actress/role" is conspicuously missing.

Yes, CGI is definitely the answer, to get us the only one magic enough - Glinda the Good Witch. Of course, Harpo would be a great stand-in. It's not only NodeReaper that gets indigestion from reapable nodes!
