It seems the release managers don't want to copy the top perldelta entries (where is perl5162delta? can't find it on https://metacpan.org/release/RJBS/perl-5.16.2/), and they can't link to the announcement on cpan or metacpan, because the announcements doesn't wait for the release to percolate to the mirrors.

I think it's a bad user experience; the top $n ($n = 3..5) changes should be included in the release announcement.

    Even a simple link to the perl5delta on github or similar would be better than nothing.

    But the effort required to c&p the appropriate bit of that document into the announcement, is surely less than that expended digging up the pointless, meaningless, random literary quotes.

    Can you imagine Ford or Toyota announcing their latest car and telling you to look at the workshop manual for the selling points.
