in reply to [Community] Perl Mongers mailing list problems

PS: Chose MonkDiscuss because it seemed appropriate for community problems.

Sorry but its not according to the guidelines

Unless the topic pertains to the PerlMonks web site, it does not belong in this section.

The appropriate section appears to be Meditations

...not specifically programming related...For example, if you want to share or discuss opinions on hacker culture, or Perl 6 development, this is the place.

Meditations seems to be the catch-all programming-adjacent section, ie the Community section, ie not SOPW/SOPS(Seekers Of Perl Solution)? then its probably Meditations

The Anon monk is quite correct that your post does not belong in PerlMonks Discussion (clearly it does not relate to the PerlMonks website).
        Hi Arunbear,

You have a name², you deserve an answer! =)

Before posting I discussed on CB which category to chose.

We have a lot of PerlMonk community discussions on MonkDiscuss, so PerlMonger community discussions didn't seem too far away.

(Clearly a category "Community"¹ would be nice to discuss things from the eco-sphere, I think it's a grey zone - maybe intentionally - left open)

Others on CB proposed other categories, but all felt less appropriate too me... and I took a decision.

But I left it open to my fellow monks to switch category by "moderation" before approving it.

So if you or any other (named) monk with appropriate XPs feel the need, plz just move/consider this thread ...

In the end, a "Which category does this thread belong to?" question would have been posted in MonkDiscuss... =)

        Cheers Rolf

        update

¹) IMHO it's a pity that davido feels the need to apologize for promoting his group.

²) If a monk has the freedom to stay anonymous, I have the freedom to ignore him.

      The AnoPolice again... =)

      Stay classy LanX
