I got a BA in Econ and Math. Decided I liked statistics and associated languages like R. Got myself a job doing Statistical Programming for a Policy Research Company. We mostly use SAS, Perl, and VBA. Some like to show off with COBOL and JCL. Racket sports are awesome. As is hiking. It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts.
