Hey, Perl's not a bad name for a daughter. It beats calling your kid Java, PHP or C++. Pascal and Ada are based on actual names. And it'd just be cruel to name your kid Python.

Oh yeah. Congrats on being a Perl coder and having a wife (that will actually have kids with you). May you pass on the noblest aspects of programming to the next generation. (My kids have no interest so far... but I have hope for the younger ones still...)

I'm inclined to agree (and so is my wife, so now all I can do is hope our next is a daughter! .. totally out of boy's names ...). As for my wife.. she is pretty awesome! :D She's currently sitting beside me in a GPLv3 advertisement shirt, so with any luck I can instil the Right Way of programming into my kids.	[reply]
