Dear Ovid,
This was brilliant... I've been tearing out my hair over these first faltering steps of cgi perl stuff... and nobody seemed to be able to explain what "make a perl script executable" means, and people told me to install mod_perl, or to install heaps of stuff like "php" and "mysql" and "phpadmin" before I could get anywhere...
