Just a quick note, even if "cd" was what you wanted, it wouldn't have worked after the first time because when you're in "dir001" you can't do "cd dir002" unless dir001" is the parent of "dir002".
Nobody says perl looks like line-noise any more
kids today don't know what line-noise IS ...
