in reply to What language should I learn?
Ruby — and I would highly recommend the following to start:
- Ruby Essentials Training
- Excellent 7 hour video course on Lynda.com (The monthly subscription is a pretty good deal.) - The Well Grounded Rubyist by David A. Black
- Written in a very approachable style with thorough coverage of the language.
Good luck.
