in thread [perldebugger] calling perldoc from within the debugger

I always had the suspicion that talking about emacs in the monastery is considered OT by the majority ...
Yes... not exactly "off-topic", but it's a borderline case. I think there's social pressure against going too far into emacs/perl issues if you're on a forum that's dedicated to just one or the other... So I'm going to see if I can get a cross-over forum going for people who want to geek out about both. We will see how it goes...

    I read Sean's comment about

I'm either not to eager to do it with google ...

At the moment I'm checking out if we can establish a English (or biligual) sub-board in http://www.perl-community.de/bat/poard/latest/24h

It's under active development, RSS, Mailsubscription, Syntax Highlighting Support for a bunch of languages (IMHO including ELISP) and it is Open Source.

Posting in English shouldn't be a problem...

    BUT it's not a Mailinglist.

    Cheers Rolf

I don't mean to come on like a google cheerleader, myself. But I've been meaning to host this thing as a mailing-list on one of my own boxes for years now, but I've finally admitted to myself that I'm too lazy and I might as well bend my principles a little and go with something like google groups.

      BUT it's not a Mailinglist.
And I kind-of like that feature myself... I'm going to stick with what I've got for a little while longer (I've only just begun recruiting), but all keep your alternate in mind.
