Perl Videos and Book

Hi,

I am in search of a good book on perl which should start from very basic and go till the highest level on all the perl topics. Also is there any website which has perl videos on all the important topics.

Note : I have seen all the videos which are posted on perlmonks, I mean the links.

You will find a lot of information at Learn Perl at www. perl.org, but one book which teaches all is ~~probably~~certainly not available. One could argue that Programming Perl teaches the entirety of the language. (Although I'd add the caveat that, since Perl Dynamic Language, you would also need to keep current on the release documentation (perldelta) to have a complete picture of the current state.) ---- I Go Back to Sleep, Now. Yes, it will tell you the basics of the language and by basics I mean the fundamental elements and principles. But it is hardly a book that will teach you the language. I know because that is the way I learned Perl and it was not an easy voyage. It is a bit like learning to speak a language with only a dictionary and a grammar book. It will tell you everything you need to know, but it will be quite a long time before you dare to go out and chat up a girl. :) CountZero A program should be light and agile, its subroutines connected like a string of pearls. Modern Perl by chromatic is a good one to check out and it's free. So is Learning Perl the Hard Way by Allen Downey. I would recommend just watching some YAPC::NA YouTube videos. I don't really know of any good videos for this kind of thing, never really looked.	[reply]
