Math/CS undergraduate, finished year 3 of n
(n is natural, n >= 5)

I'm currently taking some time away from school, and meanwhile working on finding Hamiltonian cycles in particular graphs. Now that I've completed a few functions to do this, I've used fifos to allow for rudimentary progress reports on the calculation. The next thing that I should work on is turning a sequence of moves into an image representing the cycle.

All this is currently done in C. Sure, Perl is nice, but I can't say I really understand it and I'm not convinced it's fast enough for this lengthy mathematical stuff. At the moment I mostly use Perl to generate HTML, since that's easy even though I don't know what I'm doing.
