rbala has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi Monks, I am using Win32::SerialPort API's to configure a serial network device which runs linux with certain set of device specific commands. For eg. config MODE=sta. But some times, characters got truncated and only partial characters are sent. for eg. the above command is sent as config MODE=a.(st truncated). Is there any better option available to avoid this solution in this win32serialport module ?

Thanks in advance, Bala.

How is it that you know the data is being truncated? Have you tried a serial port monitor on the windows side to see what's being sent out? I don't know of a free windows serial port monitor that works on Win7/64bit, so I use's product.
