About a year ago (in fact, this Friday will be the one year anniversary of the event in question), I was taking my kids to a local playground and while heading down a nearby path which is quite heavily overgrown with trees, vines and so forth, we walked through an enormous spider web strung up across the way.
While picking pieces of spider web out of my daughter's hair, I felt a tickle on my arm, which upon closer inspection turned out to be an enormous spider. Well, not enormous by tarantula standards, but large compared to spiders typically seen around these parts.
At this point, a high pitched girlish scream emerged from my mouth; I shook my arm to rid myself of the spider; and heard a ping as my wedding ring (which had always been a size or two too big) bounced on the path on its way into the bushes.
Every time I walk along that path now I stop to have a look for it, but I doubt I'll ever find it.
Anyway, just thought I'd "share".

I used to about kill myself to get away from spiders. And if one were to land on me, I would lose it completely, slapping myself all over doing more damage to myself than most spiders ever could. Then an office mate did a little Neural Linguistic Programming on me one day, and I no longer freak! I still don't like or trust them, since a brown recluse put my hubbie in the hospital, but I can maintain my composure most of the time. Good luck finding you wedding ring!

I fear spiders for sure. Even reading your comment made me shiver...

I love how in the first 174 voters, the only thing noone here is afraid of is writing tests.

That's because we never do that. I fear only things that exist (like seaweed touching my leg).

Of all of the items on the list, only one has the power to LEGALLY take your life, liberty and property, at the point of a gun if needed.

And at the moment they're doing a great job with two of the three.

No, two do. One does in one place, one does in another, neither does in most places. I recommend staying in those most other places.

Bacon ice cream. Indeed, I quiver with fear (or disgust) each time I hear that term.

I recently had the opportunity to experience just how fearful fear can be. Watching someone panick is eye-opening...
On a less serious note, I fear I am out of my favorite flavor of yogurt, which means I will have to choke down the strawberry impregnated stuff again... how fickle is fear...

I would have to agree with you on that one as Arminians are scary.
