There's gobs and gobs of examples and such in Networking Code, or pinger - ping a range of hosts and ping for ppt. Chapters 17, 18, and 20 in the Perl Cookbook also possesses an impressive amount of help.

Perhaps you can better explain what you're looking to do and how to achieve it?
