Perl5-porters and mpg.de

jgamble has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I don't subscribe to the perl5-porters mailing list, but I do read the archives of it every few weeks or so.

There are four different archives listed for perl5-porters. I prefer this one at xray.mpe.mpg.de. But I note that some time in mid-November it stopped archiving the list.

Does anyone know if this is a permanent situation?

The archive admin's contact is linked at the bottom of that main index page. While you are at it, remind him to update the MHonArc software, it's 16 years out of date.

      kinda arrogant daxim

Actually, I don't believe there is anything wrong in a polite message to an administrator to point out that software/a system is way behind the maintained release. The software in question has had many changes over the years to fix security problems, other bugs and to improve performance.
