    I'll be focussing on XP ratings, of course .... trying to raise my own as much as possible, while simultaneously lowering the ratings of everyone else.
    Muahahahahaha !!!

    Cheers,

    Implementing a random number generator using a Geiger counter and a piece of natural uranium ore i found.

    (And before you ask, yes i have that piece of ore in a very thick and heavy lead container)

    .
    perl -e 'use Crypt::Digest::SHA256 qw[sha256_hex]; print substr(sha256_hex("the Answer To Life, The Universe And Everything"), 6, 2), "\n";'

      Are you related to one of my college schoolmates who kept a jar of uranium salts in his room? He also had one of the very first personal computers from, I think, MITS, back in 1972 or '73.

        Unlikely. I'm from Austria if that information helps ;-)

    Other than the number of students in my classes that actually do their work, I continue to pay the "I don't know probability tax" and buy lotto tickets, so the winning numbers get my attention.

    I actually do know probability, but buying lotto tickets has a better chance of a positive payoff than drinking, smoking, or chasing members of the appropriate sex to whom I am not married

    I'll be focusing on the same numbers in 2020 that I've most focused on since I was about 3 years in to my career... My investment accounts as I accelerate them as rapidly as possible toward the all important FU Money figure I've come up with.

    The article at the link is a fun read, the video embedded in it is even better. :-)

    Just another Perl hooker - My clients appreciate that I keep my code clean but my comments dirty.

    Maybe e this year. Last year was calculating π to a trillion digits. Or maybe let the hard drives rest and go Mersenne prime hunting again.
