Nobody would guess what SoPW was without looking it up. "Supplications" is consistent with the monastery theme and being a slightly less usual word makes it, IMV, more appealing.

Did the old title use to be the literal acronym "SoPW" or was it "Seeker of Perl Wisdom"?

I was able to answer it myself, it used to be "New Questions"

I just had a look at "Other Users" and only one third of the monks currently listed were native speakers.
