I found my old status reports from work, many moons ago, and I found some gems there, but by far this is the most significant one.

  - began learning PERL.

That would be about the same time as I started...
I went to university in 1993 and bought my first PC in 1994. A second-hand 386. I did a memory upgrade from 4Mb to 20Mb! How times change...

When I bought a second-hand 36.6k modem and signed up for a free trial with AOL...well, the world changed...
