I voted "Warm"; however, there's a lot more to climate than just temperature.
My ideal day would be around 25°C, with low humidity and a light beeze.
For some, other factors may be important; for instance,
wind direction for those living near something unpleasantly odoriferous such as a swamp or an industrial estate.
Where I live, what would otherwise be considered as a very pleasant day, could be marred by insects:
-
pestered by flies during the daytime;
-
stung by mosquitos, particularly around dusk; and,
-
deafened by cicadas as night falls.
"Australia's a great place to live. Fifty billion blowflies can't all be wrong." :-)

I can testify to the importance of wind direction as I went to school close to a sewage processing plant. Most days everything was fine but occasionally the wind wasin the wrong direction!
Both the sewage works and the school are still there but the problem seems to have gone away. I assume the advances in sewage processing technology have worked their magic and today's pupils don't have the same unpleasant experience as I did many years go.

There was no nearby school, but the effluent ponds from a local Cheese factory used to provide a similar experience if you passed near them and the wind was in the right direction.
Aerating the ponds was apparently the solution to that. They started using electricity-driven paddle wheels to periodically beat the hell out of the liquid, and there has been no unpleasant odours since. (Maybe they've since switched to a more energy-efficient method of aerating.)
Cheers,
Rob

Alpine skiing climate in the winter (I live 25 minutes from the top of my ski hill, and within 1.5 hours of three others), and warm to hot for camping and exploring the rest of the year.

I don't care about temperature. I'd like to live in a climate of peace, tolerance, understanding, transcendence.

Living in the middle of the UK, I'm pretty used to just accepting whatever the weather decides to throw at me... And often that changes vastly from one end of the day to the other!

I wish I lived somewhere where the sun punched me in the face every time I went outside. I want scalding, unbearable, searing heat every single day.
I want to open my front door, and have the sun go, 'hey.. f*&@ you in particular'.
I live in Canada. :( | [reply] |
