Mine is a nickname from from my teen years, when I drove my older brother around (after he lost his license for racing) and hung out with his friends. They apparently thought my real name was too bland, so they called me "roho". I spell it phonetically, knowing that the proper spelling is "rojo", but I've always had trouble transliterating the "j" sound to the "h" sound.
On a personal note, much later when my brother's wife was in an assisted care facility with advanced dementia, I went to visit her. My brother and his children said she no longer recognized anyone, not even them. I sat down beside her and said, "Hi Linda, it's roho." She immediately perked up and said, "Oh, hi roho!" *** The power of nicknames ***
