Can you reproduce the problem with less code? Tk should not be needed to invoke test(). Also, you should not use $a and $b, they are reserved for sort by perlvar. And you should not need a string eval if you replace the formula and action fields in %pid with code references. Both should not be the cause of your problem, though. Alexander
