If there is a limit, the next question is: will the session be recorded, so people do not need to join to see it?

I did not yet register, as I have no guarantee theat I can join then, but I am for sure interested!

There isn't a limit -- or rather, I don't think Zoom is going to be overloaded by having 100+ people attend a session. My understanding is that we are going to record this event, so folks will be able to go back and watch it later.
