So to format it in the normal poll-idea format, listing options for the pollsters to easily copy/paste (including my suggested extras, beyond the six in the linked post):

Which URL do you use to access this site?

updates: incorporate suggestions below to keep a single copy/paste list

yes google is indexing them occasionally, often as qsXXX.pair.com with s/X/[0-9]/g

And the path is sometimes quite long and random because it's leading to some divine experiments, which were probably not meant for the public.

        edit

        For instance, try http://qs321.pair.com/~monkads/?node=soonix

Now there's the dilemma of authorship - talexb had the idea, but you did the hard work. We don't really have a good solution for this.

Also bear in mind all of this has to fit in the Voting Booth nodelet, so having fewer options is usually better.

talexb had the idea, but you did the hard work

      Give the authorship to talexb.

so having fewer options is usually better

I prefer the polls that give more choices, but if that provides technical challenges, or if there's a history showing that longer polls get fewer responses, then pollsters can pick whatever subset makes the most sense

I'm happy to share authourship of this poll. :)

For a long time, I had a link in my .sig going to Groklaw. I heard that as of December 2024, this link is dead. Still, thanks to PJ for all your work, we owe you so much. RIP Groklaw -- 2003 to 2013.

Unfortunately, we don't have a mechanism for sharing authorship like that. In the past, I've often given up authorship of my own poll ideas by assigning them to pollsters. I could do that in this case if there are no objections. It's the nearest "solution" we have for indicating more than one author.
