talexb had the idea, but you did the hard work Give the authorship to talexb.
so having fewer options is usually better I prefer the polls that give more choices, but if that provides technical challenges, or if there's a history showing that longer polls get fewer responses, then pollsters can pick whatever subset makes the most sense
