I find them useful, but as with any other tool, much will depend on who is wielding the tool. Recently, I have used AI to assist with a project I could not progress on for quite some time. Then I asked AI to write me some code. That code didn't work either, but gave me sufficient pointers to amend it into a working piece of code.
