Perl 6 has quite possibly been the biggest failure among programming languages.
You didn't read the parent post, did you? According to it, even with the backing of the DoD and commercial vendors, Ada still failed. No matter how much or how little progress Perl 6 makes, I still wouldn't give it the title of biggest failure.

      Being totally outside my radar, I don't have much of an opinion either way (same with Perl 6), but I'd have to lean toward saying that it fails at being a mainstream popular (as in being used outside of defense) programming language. Though that might not be an entirely bad thing (say, as opposed to PHP).
