Regardless of just how OO Perl really is or is not, i found that learning Perl OO increased my overall understanding of OO in general. Of course, that's to be expected any time you study something from more than one observation point.

When i read your post, the first thing that popped in my mind was the Seven Stages of a Perl Progammer:
