Order Linux Web Server CD Bookshelf

Item Description: 6 O'Reilly books on Apache, Perl, MySQL and Linux

Review Synopsis: A quick review of the latest CD Bookshelf

This is the latest of the O'Reilly CD Bookshelves, and incorporates 6 O'Reilly titles in HTML format:

  • Running Linux, 3rd Edition
  • Linux in a Nutshell, 3rd Edition
  • CGI Programming with Perl, 2nd Edition
  • Apache: The Definitive Guide, 2nd Edition
  • MySQL and mSQL
  • Programming the Perl DBI
in addition to a soft-backed copy of Linux in a Nutshell.

Once again, O'Reilly have come up with a stunning collection of their books converted to searchable HTML, at a price far below the prices for the individual books.

Erm... I'm not sure that this really constitutes a review. It seems to be simply repeating information that is available on the O'Reilly web site.

"The first rule of Perl club is you don't talk about Perl club."

This was meant more as a heads-up that this is available, as it's only just been published...I assumed that most people would be at least aware of most of the titles included in this bookshelf, but would want a more economical way to get hold of them.

Then again, I might be wrong...

I don't know about most people, but you're right about at least one person — me. Thanks for the mention.
