Started programming fairly recently (circa September 2001) - did a bit of C/C++, Java, PHP, MIT Scheme, Haskell, Smalltalk and the odd batch/shell s‎crip‎ting here and there.

Worked with COBOL for about 8 years - then changed jobs and started learning Perl (circa March 2015).

I can't attest to being a wizard; but learning Perl so far has been great fun!
