    So how am I supposed to run it? It didn't even run on linux (RHEL) when calling perl japh where I copied the code into a file called "japh".

    It just finishes without any output at all.

    s$$([},&%#}/&/]+}%&{})*;#$&&s&&$^X.($'^"%]=\&(|?*{%
    +.+=%;.#_}\&"^"-+%*).}%:##%}={~=~:.")&e&&s""`$''`"e
      Hi Skeeve,

      It works for me on RHEL 6.3 (32-bit) running perl v5.10.1, and with the command you are using: "perl japh".

      Make sure you get all the lines, including the 3 at the bottom of the program (they are vital to the decoding of the obfuscation).

      If you'd like send me a message and maybe we can figure out why it's not working.

      Update:   problem solved -- the Tk module was not installed.

      say  substr+lc crypt(qw $i3 SI$),4,5
