in reply to Test Post to check new edit feature

G'day Rolf,

"If you are a cabal and want to test jdporter's new edit/update button reply in this thread."

Well, I'm able to reply (i.e. via the Comment on link) but I'm not in a Cabal. I may have missed your intention here. Anyway, let's test it and see what happens ...

Update (results): ... editing in Preview mode worked as before; posted node successfully; editing in Update mode worked as before; and, unless you hear otherwise, updated the node successfully.

Update (outcome): From ++jdporter's "RFC: Edit your posts in a separate page, rather than at the top of a thread." post, this is the outcome I'd expect. As I said earlier: "I may have missed your intention here."

Well you know, it's the Obfu section! ;-P

PS: In order to test jdporter's experiments, one needs a post in the Obfu section and I had none till now.

Since others may face the same problem they can simply reply here and sometime the we may reap it again. Intention deobfuscated now? :)

To test the change, one has to have a root post in the obfu section. Your root post in this thread works for you. Other monks would have to find (or create) their own root posts in this section. Replies don't do it.

btw thank you for testing and taking an interest.

I reckon we are the only monastery ever to have a dungeon stuffed with 16,000 zombies.
Thanks, it's just that "Root" is somehow ambiguous.

Every partial thread view is a tree with a root - the top post - and non editable replies.

        Cheers Rolf
