    I've got a new one.... you see a car with 'ECHO' scrawled on the back, and it makes you think of this echo instead of the this one.

      Not so much "out of mind" as "out of reach". Or is that "out of scope"?

      Hmm, so I decided she's a package variable, not a lexical. That is, it's an access issue not an existance issue.
