I tried searching Raymond Chandler and Heddy Lamarr on Google to see if there was a connection, and google gently told me that it's actually Hedy with a single d (my bad for the mistake, I corrected it in my post). No connection though :P And yes she was also an inventor, that's part of the appeal I think, the actress who in her spare time invented a piano-based technology for torpedoes which is now used in Wi-Fi. It just sounds like a comically improbable movie character, which is ironic for an actress :) .	[reply]
