Well... baseball caps are fine for casual wear.
I'd be far more interested in a custom-made Perl Monks habit. The perfect garment to wear for quiet nights of obfu hacking, or to your place of employment for the next bi-weekly project status update meeting. The stunned look on your project manager's face alone would more than justify the cost!
I wonder if we could talk this guy into giving us a PM quantity discount?

I quite agree, that would be cool.

darn it, i want pm baseball caps ... how come we don't have 'em? (he said, stamping his foot) | [reply] [Watch: Dir/Any] |
Dear Perl Monks,
One of your members wrote to tell me that our monk's habits had been
mentioned as an addition to the Monastery Gift Shop. The original
mention had mused about embroidered logos and quantity discounts.
We would be happy to discuss adding embroidered patches to our robes for you
as well as a discount for a larger order. I would also suggest that
we could make robes for you in fleece, which is machine washable and very
very cuddly ;)
As for a logo - the image I get is of a pearl perched on an open book with an
outline of a hood around both items. Or not - just an idea.

The company I recently sold was a wholesale, private-label candle shop. Meaning: companies across the U.S. ordered candles from us, and we put their labels, logos etc. on them. Its sister in the corporation is a complete "promotional item" wholesaler.
Things that are available are
- baseball caps
- t-shirts
- polos
- button-ups
- jackets
- coffe cups
- pretty much anything you can put a logo on
If people are interested in this sort of stuff, maybe I can work something up for my next contribution. If there's a huge demand, considering the current owners of the corporation are my father-in-law and his business partner, I know I can come up with an in-expensive solution.Perhaps we should have a poll on what type of PerlMonks merchandise people would like to see on the Buy Stuff page.
