That is cool and at the same time a bit sad.

When I would ask someone "what's written in Python these days" he'd probably mention things like pandas, scikit-learn or keras.

I am really glad that for the Perl-side I can now counter with an mmorpg.

But the real queston is not "what is written in x" but "what is written in x that is of any relevance"...

And the answer to that is not pretty for x=perl I am afraid.

Probably a lot more than the pundits think or claim there are. In my employer's IT department, the network group uses Perl extensively. And given that I am the only Perl coder (out of about 50) in the company who has any interest in Perl Monks, I suspect there are a lot more Perl coders working "under the radar".

When I DDG'd those they turned out just to be python libraries. Not very interesting or useful to someone who doesn't already program in python. The equivalent would be JAPH giving RPi::WiringPi, Map::Tube and BioPerl as examples, say.

In contrast. Tau Station is a stand-alone product usable by people who aren't programmers at all. It's no comparison. (and that BTW is why I thought it worthy of posting as news - YMMV)
