Good Perl GUI framework on a Mac?

nysus has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I've been googling around for the last 20 minutes or so trying to find a viable GUI framework that works well on a Mac without X Windows. I'm coming up empty. I tried installing Wx but not luck there and its issue queue is a mile long. Is there anything out there? Thanks.

$nysus = $PM . ' ' . $MCF;

    You need to install XQuartz on a MAC to run any ( guessing at any ) X window app. Install XQuartz and you should be able to run Tk, Gtk, Wx, etc. If you want to run in a console window, there is dialog, which Slackware has been using for years for it's non-X-GUI. There is a dialog app for MAC, google for it. See dialog tutorial

      Ah! I've seen dialog on my debian installs. I never knew that that's what was behind it. I just installed it on my Mac with homebrew. That could come in handy.

      I have XQuartz installed but I don't know much about it. Once I was able to figure out how to open a GUI app on my Linux box with it on my Mac over ssh. But that's as far as I got. I'll do some more googling on that. Thanks.

      I did see some other suggestions here on PM for using Applescript with perl. Will explore that as well.

    Use AppleScript for the GUI and Perl for the rest. See AppleScript. Regards, Karl
