Spot the hacker at adequacy.org. The responses are as funny as the article.

Yes, it mentions the word "Perl" once so it's not exactly a perl related link, but it should brighten up a Monday morning.

First I thought the post was hilarious, then I thought the comments by people who thought it was serious were even more funny. But after reading post after post of totally un-informed (not to mention humor-impaired) opinion I got really scared. Are people really that ignorant?

They really are that ignorant! One guy wrote in to defend "PERL." Maybe he should try the Inline::PERL module.
I hope the people who wrote in and commented are kidding; but I fear they are not. One wrote
I don't even think this idiot even has a computer let alone read a book about one. This has got to be a joke.
        A joke? It's a joke!? REALLY?

        Oh man.

There is a stupid-hilarious poll on hackers, and a link "More on Internet idiocy", so I am sure it is a joke, don't worry :-)

I'm quite sure it's a joke - I'd be unsure if I hadn't read a lot of the other adequacy.org articles though. However ither many people have subtle senses of humour that I missed in the responses, or they really fell for it.

I also found it amusing that the editors occaisionally post replies to tweak people even more.
